In an interview with New York Magazine Connected 50 Cent talks a little about Hip Hop fashion at its current state. At one point in the interview he states,"If you look at artists from down South, you might see some of them still wearing jerseys. They still didn't grasp the concept that throwbacks are done. I will tell you this though, "really fly" to Southern artists means really expensive."
50 is speaking some truth with this statement, because I have seen a few people wearing some jerseys and it was a dead give away that they were from out of town. **Lesson** Jerseys are in no way in style, unless you are actually going to or participating in a sporting event.
50 also gave kudos to album rival Kanye West by saying,
"Kanye was courageous, but it actually matched what he was doing. He was wearing sweaters over button ups and stuff like that; it was crazy. "
I have to agree with this too. Kanye West's style is extra innovative...Even if you don't love it you have to respect it.
