Lil' Fizz is coming out with his new album soon and is making a video for his new single "Beds." The single is featuring none other than Ray J.......I'm predicting whackness for this song. I was never a fan of B2k (at least I would never admit that I was a fan of that corny group) and I am definitely not a fan of Ray J.... Womp, Womp.... I have yet to hear the song, but I could only imagine. Maybe those two will prove me wrong and that song will become a summer smash. But I doubt it. Since Lil' Fizz is rapping the song loses all types of cool points.

Mariah Carey is set to star in a new short film which satires her life as a pop star. Can we say Glitter 2......... Let it go MiMi, you know what happened last time. Spike Lee is set to direct it. maybe that will make the film watchable since Mariah Carey's acting isn't. Not everyone is talented at everything. Congrats to the Wade Family

Dwyane Wade and his wife Siovaugn have given birth to second son time. The baby whom they named Zion Wade joins their eldest son Zaire Wade, 5, as the fourth member of the Wade family. Congratulations to them. Great to see a beautiful black family represented in the public eye. :)

Late last week Rapper Young Jeezy was arrested outside an Atlanta "shake joint" ( I'm thinking of the movie ATL right now) after reportingly getting loud with off duty officers. No word if any physical assaults had taken place but he did have to pay a $284 bail.

So isn't he up to like three strikes or something by now? Dude needs to chillax before they melt his snowman ass in jail forever. I need him around though because his songs do be good.

Not many know but Disney is all set to finally create thier first black character based film, The Frog Princess. From what I've seen some are upset that Disney has waited so long but I say more power to them. I'm just a bit confused as why it couldn't have been "The Princess from the Nile" or "The African Princess" but who am I?!!? (Only the best blogger I know I know but honestly people let me make my point)

She is supposed to be a princess from New Orleans?!? I guess maybe some hurricane katrina awareness or maybe no...I have no clue but I'm still excited.

Anika Noni Rose is all set to do the voice over...YAY. I heard she beat out Tyra Banks and I'm oh so thankful because she honestly would have me walking out that movie theater. Ok folks...movie should be out sometime in 2009 so keep a look out.

New York couple who impersonated Ashanti, Nia Long, and Mariah Carey, amongst others looking to face 30 years in prison and a $1 million fine. The couple stole the identity of the singers and actress in order to get bank loans and buy cars. The couple also impersonated other people including the gentleman's own father. Glad they caught these people. This could have happened to anybody. Sorry, to see it happen to Nia. She's one of my favorite actresses in Black Hollywood.

Something about Ray J to me is so uhhh. I ain't gonna lie, I use to have a crush on him back in the day when he was on the Sinbad show.... don't judge me I was only like six. (For those of you who don't remember the show click here to jog your memory.) But now Ray J tries to hard to stay relevant, when he obviously is not. He's milking this sextape thing with Kim Kardashian for all it's worth. Ray J ruined "Moesha." There was no reason for D-Money to be Frank Mitchell's child. Ray J just had to be all up in the show, i.e. trying to stay relevant. He been riding Brandy's coattails since I don't know when. Now, he's trying to make a name for himself as a porn star. He has an inteview in the upcoming issue of Sister2Sister magazine. AOL Black Voices wrote a summary of it here. Ray J only had one hit and yall know it. Okay, word around town is Buckeey from "Flavor of Love" and "Charm School" fame is linked to Andre 3000. Hmmm???? Interesting combination.....There have been different reports saying the rumor was false and others saying the rumor is true. Sandra Rose is reporting that their has been controversy because a person has been posing as Buckeey's publicist has refuted the rumors. Well, it seems that this person is not her real publicist and that Buckeey has not commented on the rumors. So the rumor could be true!? Anyways, I'm confused.

So, Master P is looking to clean up hip hop after the infamous Don Imus comment. Apparently, 50 cent had issue with Percy Miller's statement and he refuted P's actions by stating that Master P doesn't sell anymore. Well, is 50 cent still relevant? For real though, every artist has his or her season and 50s has passed. He was the hottest artist when he came out(...remember them "Wanksta" days), but so was Master P back in No Limit's heyday. Yeah he got a single out right now but whose listening to it like that? He built his career on tearing people down and starting feuds (i.e. Ja Rule falling off the face of the earth) So this little rift shouldn't surprise anyone. Both should men should justfocus on their other business ventures because the music game has changed. But nonetheless I respect what Master P is doing...it probably won't sell but it's still an admirable attempt at something positive.

So “bet” has yet disappointed the black community once again. Although they seem to have a pretty promising performance roster including Diddy & Keyshia Cole w/ special guests, T.I., 50 Cent, Robin Thicke, Akon, Kelly Rowland, Diana Ross, Jennifer Hudson, Anika Noni Rose, Ne-Yo, Ciara, Beyonce, Mary Mary, Ludacris, Rihanna w/ Jay-Z, MIMS, India.Arie, and more to be announced, someone must’ve been smoking crack like my high school guidance counselor while making the nominations. One that is really bothering me is the nomination of Jennifer Hudson. I mean don’t get me wrong I love the girl she’s a underdog who is now on top but a little to much on top. She was nominated not only for best new artist but for best female r&b artist also. Now I thought if you where nominated for best female artist that you were no longer a new artist? But anyway that’s besides the fact…how in the hell do they consider Jennifer a artist yet? I mean does she have album, single, performance of a original song? She has been living off “dreamgirls” and “I am telling you” since the release date so what strikes the people at bet that she is a new artist? All she did was play a role in a movie, that required her to sing her ass off but come on now this isn’t the first musical! That’s like Beyonce being nominated for a Oscar for her video album she put out…just doesn’t make sense. Like isn’t that insulting to artist like Tamia and Keyisha Cole who have actually worked hard on albums, releasing the albums, promoting and performing. I mean it just strikes me as wrong that jhud is getting all this off of one movie role home girl did her thing but lets be fa real it wasn’t that good! Anyone can play a bitch feel me? But I guess bet is rapped up in awarding people that other people have already honored in the correct way so they just hoping on the bandwagon..all imma say is I bet jhud wont be up for no vma! It will be directed by the great Debbie Allen....

Lisa Lopes Documentary

This past weekend VH1 debut the last known footage of TLC member Lisa Lopes aka Left Eye. Reruns will be airing all this week so be sure to check it out if you haven't already.

My views on it....I thought it was a great glimpse into the life of Lopes and what she has been through. I personally loved how she was playing Tarzan and Jane with her then boyfriend while America was looking for her. As crazy as you want to call her homegirl was deep and I will always love her for being a talented beautiful girl. Make sure you check out her documentary on VH1.

Ok so I’m watching the new lil Romeo and I must say has video making gone completely down the drain? Does no one have any brand new ideas? Like lmao a white tiger?
