LeBron James or King Kong?

WOW. This is terrible and right when I was just conversating on how race issues today weren't as transperant as they once were.
Vogue needs to go ahead and have a "diversity training" program set up because they really couldn't be more obvious in making Lebron look beastly.

Obama-Pitt & Clinton-Jolie

Not that I'm surprised Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt would one day officially rule the world, but good news as to how soon that may be. Either way the democratic party has to nominate Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama so my power couple isn't taking any chances and have formed kin with both!!

Researchers at the New England Historic Genealogical Society have discovered that Hillary and Angelina are distant relatives as well as Barack and Brad.

Pitt and Obama are ninth cousins, linked by Edwin Hickman, who died in Virginia in 1769. Ben LaBolt, a spokesman for the Obama campaign, declined to comment on the senator's ancestry.

Clinton and Jolie are ninth cousins, twice removed, both related to Jean Cusson who died in St. Sulpice, Quebec, in 1718.

Very interesting....
P.S I wonder how close to relation I am with the power couple....wishful thinking

In other Angie news here's the trailer to her latest film Wanted
Lets all go together MY TREAT!

This song has grown on me

The video is trash but the song is hot!!! Loves it. And I just noticed Will looks like Slim from 112. And lol at them tryna be like STatus Quo at the end of the video tryna to flip over each other. They can't help that their dance steps are weak.

Anyways I'm listening to their album right now on Imeem. I just might buy it....might being the operative word. It's hot and all but I don't know if I wanna pay that $10 or more for it. Trey Songz yes....Day 26, I just don't know yet. But their album is nice to listen to nonetheless.

The couple married in 2001. He played the saxophone for some band when he met Corrine.

Tackiness has no age limit

Here is the new ad for House of Dereon's new kids line. I guess that's Beyonce junior in the front.....And poor little Kelly still can't get out the background. I swear the Knowles family be sending subliminal messages, thinking people won't catch on. I am on to you Matthew.

Anyways, what is that gold metallic mess on baby Beyonce's arm?!?!?! I wouldn't have my kids caught dead in that crap. Not that I have any children but if I did I think dressing them in House of Dereon would be considered child abuse.

I remember the first time I saw House of Dereon clothes in a store. I was so excited thinking that I could be dressed like Beyonce. Then I saw what that cheap t-shirt looked like, and became disgusted. Dereon clothes are tackier than Baby Phat (and trust me...that says a lot). To be honest, the clothes are a step above RAVE, if not on that order.

Come on, Tina Knowles. I know you can do better.

Denial is not just a river in France

Chris Brown recently denied his relationship with Rihanna in a MTV interview.

Chris Brown rather states, “I have a close friend but it’s not like a relationship, I’m not trying to settle down, I’m only 18 so I’m just trying to live my life and have fun.”

Sounds like he's just trying to protect his fan's feelings by calling Rihanna a jumpoff.

Remember Chris' vibe interview last year where he is describing his multiple girlfriends. Maybe he and Rihanna have that type of relationship. He said...

"I’ve had girlfriends, but it’s different … Like, you don’t be like, ‘That’s my girl,’ but you know when you hang with her, it’s like … friends with benefits. If I’m singling out one girl, think about all the other girls who are falling in love with me in that club. What they gon’ think? So it’s like, I have a relationship with every girl. It’s like every girl is my girlfriend."

So Rihanna isn't his only girlfriend you guys. We are all in a relationship with Chris Brown!!!!! *SMH*

Just be honest with us Chris Breezy, you are jumping Rihanna's bones.

Obama Raises Race Concerns in Speech

I found the speech very candid. He talked about race like no other political figure has done ever. He addressed black anger and white resentment about racial politics in a a matter-of-fact way. He laid the facts out on the table. Descendants of slaves and people who have suffered from Jim Crow have been wronged by this country, while people who have been aversely affected by affirmative action feel that they have been wronged as well.

When racial politics is spoken about in the media, it raises heated emotions and incendiary speech, most often. Everyone wants to argue who is more hurt or what not, but little attention is payed to how to make this country and society more just and fair.

Here is a snippet of Obama's speech that he gave earlier today...

In fact, a similar anger exists within segments of the white community. Most working- and middle-class white Americans don't feel that they have been particularly privileged by their race.

Their experience is the immigrant experience. As far as they're concerned, no one handed them anything, they built it from scratch. They've worked hard all their lives, many times only to see their jobs shipped overseas or their pensions dumped after a lifetime of labor. They are anxious about their futures, and they feel their dreams slipping away. And in an era of stagnant wages and global competition, opportunity comes to be seen as a zero sum game, in which your dreams come at my expense.

So when they are told to bus their children to a school across town, when they hear that an African American is getting an advantage in landing a good job or a spot in a good college because of an injustice that they themselves never committed, when they're told that their fears about crime in urban neighborhoods are somehow prejudice, resentment builds over time.

Like the anger within the black community, these resentments aren't always expressed in polite company. But they have helped shape the political landscape for at least a generation.
Anger over welfare and affirmative action helped forge the Reagan Coalition. Politicians routinely exploited fears of crime for their own electoral ends.

Talk show hosts and conservative commentators built entire careers unmasking bogus claims of racism while dismissing legitimate discussions of racial injustice and inequality as mere political correctness or reverse racism.

Moreover, I find it highly offensive when political pundits assume African American constituents vote for Barack Obama simply because of his race. As an African American Democrat who voted for Obama because he shares my political beliefs, it undermines my and every other black persons intelligence who voted for him.

Quite frankly, I have discovered an ugly side of Hillary Clinton that I do not care to see as my president. She is divisive and petty, in my humble opinion. And I do not think she would be a good president for America. The farther along this Democratic presidential nomination has gone on the more and more I can't stand her.

To put it simply, I rather party like a Barack star.

As a disclaimer these are just my (AfroMuffs) feelings, and I do not claim to represent the sentiments of any other blogger(s) on this site.

Facebook Fridays

Ok Yes I realize its Sunday but I told you I'm only publishing groups that YOU send in. So get on your grind and I'll be on mines :)

Ok no more mean BabyD its time for the most hilarious facebook group of the week.

Ok its a tad bias since its for my current school but most schools have a group like this for thier own. Its basically overhead conversations that someone hears either at the library in class or sometimes on the mall. Its hilarious because you don't know what people are talking about but you overhear the most outlandish statements or comments and it just doesn't seem too normal. Check out a few here or even better add some of your own in the comment box.

Two guys:Guy 1: This guy should be an escape artist for being able to escape prison in two continents!Guy 2: You mean two countries...Guy 1: NO, two continents! North America and Europe!Guy 2: He's not in Europe right now... Guy 1: HE'S IN PANAMA! WHERE IS PANAMA? IT'S IN EUROPE!

WOW cp education at its worst
