Mario Making Moves

Singer Mario cried out his feet last night (*bad joke*) in his debut of ABC's hit show Dancing with the Stars. He came out on top last night with the highest score. Peep the video below to see his dancing routine.

Hell to the Naw

This is so disheartening. They do black people so dirty. The CW is threatening to cancel The Game by next fall. Why? I don't know. The show is one of the highest rated programs in black households.

I wanna see if Derwin and Melanie get back together. Whether Jason gets caught using steroids. If Malik is ever going to stop living wiht his mama....oops excuse me if his mama stops living with him.

Mediatakeout has a list of contact info of the bih wigs at the station whom you can complain to. I have already sent my e-mail.

Welcome to the Bad Girls Club

Can I say how truly addictive said show is? I love watching Bad Girls Club on the Oxygen network. It's nothing but pure drama.

On all but like 2 episodes someone has gotten into a an argument, and this past tuesday Tanisha and Jennavecia finally "popped off" and got in a physical fight. Not that I am perpetuating violence but hey if a fight finds its way onto my television set then I'm not turning the channel.

Anyways, the cast of season 2 was on The Tyra Show tuesday.... and the Drama continued. Watch it and enjoy people. I don't think you have to have seen an episode of the show to enjoy the Tyra clips, but I am speaking as a diehard fan.

BTW Neveen is the most annoying and fakest chick ever. She is a pure hater........ and Lyric is the coolest. Darlen is chill too.

Girlfriends cancelled?

Say ain't so. According to mediafakeout.com Girlfriends has been cancelled for good. Truth be told I stopped watching the show after Toni left, but they did this show dirty. It was going downhill but after 8 years on television the show deserves a season finale.

It is so unfair this show got caught up in the writer's strike crossfire. Apparently no new episodes will be filmed, meaning that only episodes that were shot before the strike will be shown. Therefore, there is no true series finale.

R.I.P. Girlfriends. You will not be forgotten.

The Game Recap

Why is The Game the best show on television? It is so addictive. Melanie and Derwin, RIP to your relationship. Maybe yall will get back together. But after tonights episode I just don't know how that storyline's gonna go. Melanie told Derwin she got in bed with "Big Daddy Leek Leek." and almost started a fight. (LOL)

Melanie got kicked out of Tasha and Malik's for her shenanigans. I can't even blame Tasha for that, girl Melanie had it coming. Then she ran to Dionne. Didn't see that one coming. This show this takes me on a rollercoaster ride. Uhhh. I love it, I love it. Waiting for next week's episode. BTW, Jason is a bootyhole he treats Kelly like trash.

Barack to Addresss MTV Generation

Presidential candidate Barack Obama will have a forum to discuss issues sponsored by MTV and Myspace on October 29th.

Illinois Senator Barack Obama will be the next presidential candidate to participate in a MySpace/MTV dialogue when he takes the stage on October 29 at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Following on the heels of the first forum with candidate John Edwards on September 27, the Democrat will answer questions from the live audience and watch as his responses are rated in real time by users weighing in over the Internet.

The forum, which will take place at 1:30 p.m. ET, will stream live on MySpace.com, MTV's
ChooseOrLose.com and MTV Mobile, and will air at 7 p.m. ET that evening on MTV. The dialogue will be moderated by MTV News correspondents Gideon Yago and Sway Calloway, as well as WashingtonPost.com political reporter Chris Cillizza, who kept Edwards on his toes during the first forum by feeding him instant audience reaction to his responses with a polling tool supplied by Flektor.

Babyface on Oprah

It's midterm time so I apologize for posts being a little slow.

Oooh yall Babyface was on Oprah the other day, talking about his breakup with Tracey and her relationship with the alleged deadbeat dad Eddie Murphy. Interesting interview, if you want a little insight. Oprah instigates the whole thing.

Here is the link.

Midget Mac is in the Building

I spotted this at Crunk and Disorderly and I swear it cracks me up each and every time. I'm anticipating season 2 of I Love New York, if for nothing else Midget Mac. He is pure, unadulterated entertainment at its finest. I have never seen a wannabe gangsta dwarf in my life, now I get to see one each week. This lil dude really thinks he is dieseled. But hey you know what he is a step up from Flavor Flav, so it's not a stretch for New York to pick him.

I Love NY Season 2 Cast

Oh I'm so excited. I know this is trashy tv but I can't help but watch it. VH1's hit show I Love New York is coming back on soon, premiering on Oct. 8 @ 9pm. Here is a pic of the new cast. They even brought a little person on the show for a ratings pitch. (*Update* Why is his nickname on the show Midget Mac) Funniness indeed. What they really should do is bring back Pootie and Chance cause they made that show hilarious last season. Click on pic to make it larger.

Celebreality

Guess who's got a reality show in the works? Salt N' Pepa. the show is scheduled to appear on October 18th on VH1 of course.

Pepa had previously appeared on the Surreal Life. You know VH1 has the old school celebrity reality game on lock. I'll probably be checking it out, it should be somewhat interesting though I doubt it could compare to Flavor of Love.

A Raisin in the Sun

I'm amped about the upcoming tv movie adaptation of the acclaimed stageplay "A Raisin in the Sun" by Lorraine Hansberry starring Puff Daddy, Sanaa Lathan, and Mrs. Claire Huxtable herself, Ms. Phyllicia Rashad amongst others.

This story is phenomenal because this play was the first stageplay created by an black woman to be on Broadway. The play was made into a movie in 1959 starring Ruby Dee, Sidney Poitier, and Louis Gossett Jr. amongst other people.

Some of you may have read the book in high school, or some of you may have seen the film before but if you haven't the basic summary of the play is the following: a black family on the southside Chicago in the 1950s comes into a large sum of money and they want to use the money to better their circumstances but they have different opinions on how the money should be utilized. The story reiterates themes of hopes, trust, and the American dream.

The film is set to air February 25, 2008 on ABC at 8pm. This is big yall. How many times do we see positive black stories on television, especially regular television on the big wig networks like ABC.

so a new name means....?!?

So BET has changed the "name" of its new show once called Hot Ghetto Mess to a new name that should better represent the shows purpose...."We Got to do Better."

Charlie Murphy is the host of the show.

Organizations were outraged and protest the shows sponsors which led to the title's dismise
Now I GET that BET would want a show to motivate black ppl to do better...but I don't see the purpose of THIS show...I mean I've seen what it plans on showing and yes its funny but there is no other purpose for it...viewers aren't going to see the format and go..."Yes we should def change that" esp young viewers who are going to imitate and idolize what they see...tsk tsk...shame on BET for their 2007 lineup...Talk about walking backwards....

It comes on TBS at 9pm. Check your local listings. It's important to support positive black shows to make sure we are represented well on television.

The aftermath...

Spike Lee is more then ready to begin shooting a follow up to his first documentary on Hurricane Katrina, When The Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts.

He claims that there is still much to be told.

I'm glad that he's doing this because I honestly feel as if some people have already forgotton or have moved on from this when in reality its one of the biggest domestic crisis in this history of the U.S.

New American Idol

Jordin Sparks wins the sixth season of American Idol. A much deserved win congratulations, girl. The youngest person to win American Idol, yet. She performed the mess out of that song "This Is My Now" Kudos to her....look forward to hearing more from her in the future.

Click here to read more about Jordin and the season finale.

Below are pics from the finale show and red carpet event Wednesday night.

I am a fan of Jennifer Hudson, but not of this look. You can do better girl.

Sanjaya was there too. Soaking up his last 3 minutes of fame.

Melinda Doolittle came through to sing a few numbers. I see she trying to do a little something with her style (get it Doolittle...do a little..ha ha ha I crack myself up). She stepped her fashion game up a little bit to appeal to the younger masses. I likes... it's a step in the right direction.

Smokey Robinson performed during the event. I was too excited. I love me some Smokey, even though he is making that stinky face.

I see Randy Jackson went shopping in Pretty Ricky's closet. Not a good look, dude. Not a good look.

Paula = J.A.M. {Just A Mess}

Janice Dickinson = Paula's porcelain twin. Both these chicks need to lay off the Botox. They are starting to resemble Joan Rivers.

Lisa Lopes Documentary

This past weekend VH1 debut the last known footage of TLC member Lisa Lopes aka Left Eye. Reruns will be airing all this week so be sure to check it out if you haven't already.

My views on it....I thought it was a great glimpse into the life of Lopes and what she has been through. I personally loved how she was playing Tarzan and Jane with her then boyfriend while America was looking for her. As crazy as you want to call her homegirl was deep and I will always love her for being a talented beautiful girl. Make sure you check out her documentary on VH1.
